Guzman Energy was proud to celebrate Earth Day with Kit Carson Electric Cooperative Inc. at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Amalia II Solar & Battery Facility. The facility will be the second-largest solar installation for KCEC, expanding the Cooperative’s local solar power generation capacity to approximately 50 MW. In partnership with the Rio Costilla Cooperative Livestock Association, this project will bring 8.75 MW of solar energy and 17.5 MWh of battery storage to northern New Mexico—building on the success of Amalia I and moving the region closer to a cleaner energy future.

National Renewable Solutions Secures $145 Million in Project Financing for New Mexico Shallow Basket Project
National Renewable Solutions (NRS) secured $145 million for the Shallow Basket Project, a 140 MW solar and 50 MW storage project on Jicarilla Apache Nation land. Operational in 2025, it will create jobs, drive economic growth, and produce clean energy. Guzman Energy will purchase 100% of the power, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable solutions.
